Best Features:
The best feature of Jason Ferruggia’s Muscle Gaining Secrets is the results. Unlike most bodybuilding training programs, this one is 100% focused on results and Jason’s extensive experience as a trainer is very obvious in every aspect of the program. This program was NOT designed as an online ebook, but rather the other way round. It is Jason’s personal “formula” that he’s been using with private clients and celebrities that he simply adopted into digital format.
This not only makes it unique, but very effective. Jason clearly understands the problem that hardgainers face when trying to build muscle and gain weight – a problem that most bodybuilders simply don’t get because they will just stuff you full of protein shakes – something that Jason says will only prevent your body from gaining weight.
The meal plans were developed with a professional nutritionist and is one of the most comprehensive and best that I’ve ever come across. It has more than 9 different meal plans and works beautifully with the workout plans. Worse Features:
While most digital format bodybuilding programs these days are in video format, I was surprised with the lack of video. One of the best things about Vince Delmonte’s No-Nonsense Bodybuilding program was the excellent video coaching. Although Jason has a huge library of illustrations, I do think that video can be a great learning tool and help a lot. However, the benefit of the illustrations is that you can print them out and take them with you to the gym.
While Muscle Gaining Secrets have one of the best nutritional guides, Jason Ferruggia should stick to his day job since the recipes he included are pretty poor. In fact I would recommend that you skip them all together.
In terms of the different program levels, I feel that the beginner level might be a bit too advanced for guys who are first starting out. I am definitely not a beginner and found the beginner workouts to be pretty tough. Yes, you will only train for 3 hours a week, but when you do you will feel it. The program can definitely benefit from a fast start program to lead you into it for the first week or two.
Conclusion:
This program is probably not the slickest one on the internet. It’s definitely hasn’t got all the flashy graphics and sexy packaging, but what it does have is 100% solid information. This program is a very well designed bodybuild
ing blueprint and Jason’s real-world experience is very obvious from day one.
If you are a hardgainer and you feel like no matter what you do, you just can’t make any significant weight or muscle gains, then this program is the one for you. It’s specifically aimed at guys who are naturally small and skinny and the workouts and meal plans are all created with this in mind.
I would recommend this program above all the other ones that I’ve read and reviewed simply because it’s so results focused. Although I am a great fan of Vince Delmonte and I love his programs, I feel that Muscle Gaining Secrets will help beginner and intermediate level guys unlike any other program. Its simple and easy to follow. You don’t get bombarded with thousands of ebooks. Just 3 simple components and an easy to follow plan. That’s it.
I believe that Jason is one of a new generation of trainers that are encouraging guys to move away from steroids and other crap and promotes HEALTH as the most important aspect of looking great. Not only will you gain the weight, the muscle and the confidence, but you will gain energy and a sense of well being that is the real transformation.
